“Discovering this idyllic place, we find ourselves filled with a yearning to linger here, where time stands still and beauty overwhelms.”

It’s always a little nerve-wracking when a fellow vendor hires you for their wedding, but we are very excited that Emily of Prudence & Sage and her fiance asked us to capture their intimate wedding this fall on the Kitsap Peninsula.
Emily & Andy are almost always outdoors. The spend much of their time hiking or playing disc golf, and they knew exactly where they wanted to do their engagement session – Lake Stevens Disc Golf Course. Of course, it’s busy season for both of us, so finding the time has been tricky – we finally figured it out and snuck away for a bit on Labor Day.
The Disc Golf Course is picturesque and beautiful – nestled in a neighborhood next to a school, it’s also unexpected. The course seems simple from the road, but as you delve into it’s trails, you’re transported to a place that reminds of Narnia or Middle Earth. Beautiful trees, lush moss and ferns – and we were treated to the gorgeous glowing hazy moon from the recent fire smoke that has filled our air. It was perfect for the idyllic PNW engagement session.
They brought their boys along (who, by the way, we’re impressive little men as they let their parents take photos together and happily played on the forest floor), and of course we snapped a couple of family photos and a lot of them all in action doing the thing they love.
Make sure to leave this sweet couple some comment love below, and then watch the blog for their wedding post in late November!
