This wedding was more than just another couple for me. I’ve known the brides parents since I was a little girl – I would play at their house until my parents yelled or the street lights turned on – well before our beautiful bride, Elizabeth, was born.
When they reached out to me to photograph her wedding, I was ecstatic! Not only is the family fun to be around, but Elizabeth is absolutely stunning. What I didn’t realize is that we were going to be working with some of the most incredible, kind-hearted, fiercely loyal people you could ever meet, For these two – and I have a hard time saying that about this group, because it isn’t just “these two” – they have a network of support so strong that their family unit is just as important as the duo is themselves to this story – are genuinely good people. They put family first, the laugh hard, play hard and work hard. They had a bridal party filled with that support system, and Laurel Creek Manor in Sumner was ideal for their wedding vision.
I love the details of this day – and how much more gorgeous they are because of their love. I might be biased, but their little girl is just absolute perfection, too!
I have too many favorite moments from this wedding. When her daddy saw her coming down the stairs for the first time; when Addy fell asleep in her parents arms during family portraits; how Jordan looked at Elizabeth all night long; the first dances; and how they showed the strength and support of their family when they created a secret plan to help the best man propose to his girlfriend during the bouquet toss … and of course, the way that Jordan would hold Elizabeth, as if to protect her from the world. Strong, yet gentle. And, I love that they left in Elizabeth’s grandpa’s 1941 Lincoln.
Oh, and of course, who could beat homemade Limoncello as a take home gift!
Before you enjoy their wedding story, let’s let Elizabeth tell you a few moments from their journey to this day.
How did you two meet?
Jordans sister’s welcome home Dinner.
What is the proposal story?
I was about 8 Months pregnant, and we had already done our Christmas gifts at our house, so when we went to my parents i was not expecting anything from him.
But little did i know he had a Vera Wang box sitting under the tree, and it was the last present i opened, it was an empty box, and when i turned to look at him he pulled out the ring and asked right in front of my parents!
