For the last couple of years we have entered the Shoot and Share Contest, and of course we had to enter for 2019.
This is the largest free photo contest, and is open to photographers of every skill level throughout the world. This year, there were almost 600,000 total photos entered in to 25 categories. Anonymous voting took place during the month of February and then results were rolled out over the past couple of weeks. You can check out some of our past years results here and here.
We were honored and humbled to find out that one of our photos placed first in it’s category of Wedding Details. This photo is from the beautiful elopement of Shaina & Zach at Lake Crescent in December of 2018 – the last wedding I photographed just days before my mom passed away. It’s placing so well has been both joy-filled and emotional for us, as you can imagine.
Beyond this photo placing first, we had 30 other images (we entered a total of 50) that placed in the Top 30% or better for their categories. All of the Shoot & Share contest categories we entered were wedding related this year – wedding couple, wedding details, the bride, the groom, the wedding party, ceremony & reception, engagement/couples – and we are so thankful for our amazing clients and vendor friends that helped make these photos possible.
