This gem of a venue is nestled deep in the woods in North Snohomish, near the tiny town of Machias. It boasts magnificent views of the mountains on one side, and a direct line to the summer sunsets on the other. This venue is filled with wooded charm – it can be rustic and country or a pacific northwest dream filled with bohemian elegance.
The grounds are immaculately landscaped with photography – and hidden surprises for guests – in mind. There is a wide open grassy lawn, a ferned mini-forest, old tractors and machinery, and plenty of charm all over this breathtaking property. The venue is spacious, and entirely outdoors. They do have tents, though, so don’t be afraid of the rain! There are two ceremony sites, and the main one can hold up to 200 guests.
While the ceremony spots are hilly and earthy, the reception area is paved and easy for all members of the family to enjoy. The parking area is nestled behind the majority of the festivities, making loading and unloading easy, and hidden away enough that they will have little to no impact on the photos from your wedding.
The venue has tables (rounds and rectangle), chairs, and lots of room for your ideas. Most couples use the rounds, but we found that the gorgeous family-style seating we so love worked perfectly in the reception space. Check out that gorgeous dessert table above – that lives in the bar area of the venue, and is there for you to use! How cool is that! They also have a wooden bar, and some awesome wine barrels and spools.
The grooms space faces away from the bride’s ready area, and is close to the parking area. The brides ready area is located beneath the Lodge’s main house, and next to the Lookout Lodge Getaway (which many couples rent out for the night of the wedding). Bonus: They also host another private rental nearby on Lake Bosworth, which is perfect for family or bridal party traveling to the wedding (or even for the couple if they’d rather stay offsite. Check out the Bosworth Bungalow here.
Our overall review? This is a beautiful space for the couple that wants to be out of the city. Not only is it quiet and peaceful here, but you’ll literally feel like you’ve rented your own private mountain for your wedding day. There are so many options for photos, incredible spaces for the ceremony, and did we mention – a view that takes your breath away??
DOUBLE BONUS:
We have an AMAZING special for couples that book at the Lookout Lodge – we will take 40% off the Complete or VIP wedding package.
