It’s Wedding Tip Wednesday around here, and today’s tip is about wedding childcare.
Kids are great – we should know, we have a baseball team of them – and they can make a wedding really fun. But… there is this phenomena that happens at weddings that we just can’t seem to figure out. Guests bring their kids, and then there is something about a wedding that seems to mean it’s a free for all for kids to be unsupervised. This can mean kids are running everywhere – getting in to the food before the buffet line opens, sneaking cupcakes or running their fingers through the big cake, screaming and yelling, destroying the venue or getting into vendor’s gear … running up during ceremony or during first dance.
Now, I know what you’re thinking – none of the kids (or parents) you know would do this. Everyone thinks this – everyone says this. And then it happens. Which brings us to our wedding tip: wedding childcare. If you’re planning to have kids at your wedding – whether there are going to be 3 or 30, you may want to look into the event childcare services of one of the following companies. When we were researching, these had the best reviews and also serviced the areas we work in in the greater Seattle area.
