The last bridal fair we took part in this year was at BarnStar Events in Ferndale for the Whatcom Wedding Tour. This show took place in June, and the weather was absolutely perfect. There was a steady stream of sweet couples from all stages of planning, and we were so excited to meet so many amazing people.
We were lucky enough that Barnstar had an opening for a photographer. When we arrived, we fell in love – the big barn has two incredible wooden silos inside of it, a barn swing (umm, hello childhood memories), a section of real sawdust, and several quaint little lounges throughout. This venue is perfect for your Whatcom Wedding!
Outside was probably my favorite part. The outdoor chapel is to DIE for. The light and the layout make it perfect for an outdoor but still covered wedding (I seriously wish I could clone this space for my own house), and then the ladies getting ready area – just wow. Open, spacious, beautiful light, a huge mirror. Again, please, every venue have a space like this. I wish it were my bedroom.
We were joined by Gathered Confections who created a cake that was birch-tree inspired, and there were yummy treats by Crave Catering. Â Everyone’s favorites were the hummus deviled eggs. DJ Stan kept the music going, and there were beautiful arrangements by The Pristine Touch throughout the inside and outside of the building. Sea Witch Botanicals talked to many a bride and her entourage about their beauty needs, too.
All in all, it was a fun day and we were thankful for the new vendors and couples we met – can’t wait to hang out at the Whatcom Wedding Tour next year too.
