15 of Josh's Favorite Moments at Weddings

This is Josh’s first official post on our blog!!

I’m excited to welcome his perspective and we decided to start with a list of 15 of his favorite moments at weddings.

1. The Getting Ready room

The realness of them just hanging out. It’s like being a fly on the wall and observing these lifetime friendships and capturing the moments as they happen.

2. Detail shots

Making them unique for each couple. You never know what you’re really going to walk into a wedding and find, so stylizing these things helps us personalize the day for them even more. And sometimes creating an unexpected surprise for them, too.

3. Recessional

The happy expressions and excited energy of the bridal party and couple as they come back down the aisle. All the business stuff is done and now it’s party time.

4. Attendant Gifts

The surprise and connection that happens when the gift is presented.

5. A heartfelt First Kiss

Especially if it includes a dip.

6. Choreographed First Dances

It’s not just fun for them, it’s fun for the crowd. The energy in the room doubles as soon as they realize this isn’t just a normal dance.

7. Exchange between father/groom at the altar

How happy and emotional they both are.

8. Personalized vows

It’s so much better when couples aren’t “repeat after me” and take the time to say something more meaningful.

9. Ring bearers

They’re so dang cute and have a big job (and they know it!)

10. Parent/Family emotions during ceremony

Watching them in the front row and every single emotion plays out on their faces through the ceremony. Gets me every time.

11. Bridal Party photos

Being able to have fun with everyone and get to know the most important people to our couple. It helps us tell their story so much better.

12. Couple photos

The intimacy and almost relief you can feel that the day is here. There is so much love between them on their wedding day.

13. Sunset

The light is amazing, and this time with our couples allows them to reconnect and create awesome photos in really awesome light.

14. Cultural traditions

It’s cool to experience the different cultural traditions from our couples. A lot of them really make the wedding a lot more meaningful.

15. Groom and his dad

There is a friendship where they take care of each other/help each other get ready … and it’s really cool to see how the Dad looks at his son.
