2015 Big Four Ice Caves Cave-In: Our Thoughts are With You

This photo has gotten us a lot of attention. On our site, in our bridal show booths, on social media. It was taken at the Big Four Ice Caves. Many of you will probably recall seeing it at some point. It is chilling now for me to even look at.

The recent news at the Ice Caves is terrible, devastating, and breaks our hearts. The loss of life and the injuries are beyond words. The families and friends of those affected are in our thoughts.

But we want to say this: Even during this shoot, we practiced caution and safety. No one stepped foot inside the caves and we shot in cold temperatures. We weren’t willing to take risks to get “cool” shots, because while we are fearless, we will never be reckless with our lives or the lives of our clients.

Please, friends, respect nature. Follow the signs and warnings. Keep the families of those injured and no longer with us in your thoughts and prayers, and remember, ice and snow, and nature, and mountains, they’re all stronger than we are. It’s never, ever worth the risk.

Our thoughts are with you, survivors and victims of the 2015 Big Four Ice Caves cave-in.
