Listening to podcasts can be such a great way to absorb information. More and more podcasts are showing up every day with just about every subject, even wedding planning. Here are 9 reasons why listening to a wedding planning podcast is a must:
- Podcasts can be paused at any time. Just like a bookmark, you can save your spot when it comes time to put the earbuds away.
- There are several ways to listen; on the website/computer, your tablet, or on your smartphone. You can subscribe with a podcast app and be alerted when there is a new episode to listen to. Apple Podcasts and Google Play are just a few examples.
- When you find a podcast that you enjoy, you can download past episodes to listen to while you wait for the newest episode to post. It’s like getting into a book and finding out there were prequels and more books in the series.
- You can listen or re-listen at a faster speed to get those juicy nuggets you may have missed. Maybe you need to write them down or look something up; it’s really easy to find if you speed up the playback.
- You can pick and choose which episodes to listen to. Maybe you aren’t interested in what gifts to give your bridal party because you already have that figured out. It’s up to you!
- You get to hear the voices and ‘personality’ of the vendors that join the show. If you are local to where the guests are, you might want to hire them if you think you would get on well.
- Rewind and Fast Forward. Self-explanatory, but if you are only interested in a certain segment, or if you missed something, easy peasy, just forward or rewind that sucker!
- You can listen anywhere, no light needed! In the car, doing dishes, cooking, cleaning, and pretty much anywhere. Going on a vacay? Load up that podcast app with episodes and take it with you to the beach or fireside or even camping.
- Not only do you get the audio, but you also get the show notes! Most show notes include links to vendor’s websites so that it’s easy to contact them. They usually include at least an outline of what was/is being talked about. You can pull these show notes up on your podcast app and just click the links and read right there without having to go anywhere else.
