Cedar Springs Fall Wedding

Cedar Springs is one of our absolute favorite wedding venues – we even offer an Exclusive Discount to couples who are booked there.

How did the two of you meet?
We originally met on a dating app back in September 2016. We dated briefly & then went our separate ways. In March 2018, we happened upon each other unexpectedly in downtown Portland (where Haley was living at the time), & started talking again. After spending a few months getting dinner or catching a movie whenever Kelly was passing through Portland or Haley was up in Seattle, in December 2018 we decided to give it another try. After a couple months of long-distance, Haley moved back up to Seattle & the rest is history!

How did the proposal happen?
There was not an official proposal. We decided to move out of the city & in January 2022 we closed on our first home together. Realizing how much work we have cut out for us to turn our five-acre plot of land into a food forest, we figured we would get the whole wedding thing taken care of asap so we can get right down to business on the farm! 🙂

Meet your photographers.

We’re Kate (she/her) and Josh (he/him). Married humans, emotional chaos wranglers, coffee worshippers, timeline nerds, Marvel fanatics, and occasional ugly criers at weddings. (Okay, maybe more than occasional. Look, vows get us. Every damn time.) Kate has been photographing since 1997 and Josh picked up the camera in 2011. We’ve done over 600 weddings together, including wedding coordination (sometimes we even get to do both at the same time!) 600+ weddings → “That’s 600 families who trusted us to be invisible magic and backup problem-solvers.” 14 years → “We’ve seen it all — and we know how to handle anything without making it your problem.” Coordination → Kate is also a certified coordinator which gives that extra boost for you during planning and on the day itself “We don’t just photograph your day — we keep it flowing, calm, and meaningful.”
