Crossroads Snohomish Wedding

How did the two of you meet?
We met our freshman year of college at Central Washington University where we were both there as athletes. After meeting Korey I knew there was something very special about him and he says the same about me. We started dating at 18 and have been each other’s best friend since.

Tell us all of the proposal details.
We were on a hike in Sandpoint when he proposed! We were at a beautiful view point and he completely caught me off guard by having his phone camera timer on taking a photo of our dog and I when he lackadaisically came and took a photo with me and the view. Then he took something out of his pocket saying “well I only have 7 seconds to do this so here it goes”; the best moment of my life happened next. He got down on one knee and asked me to marry him with the most beautiful ring shining back at me! I was speechless and he waited for me to remember to say “yes” once reality hit me. It was the perfect moment I could have ever imagined and its hard to put into words what it means to me.

Is there a special reason you chose this venue for your Snohomish wedding?
Yes! Our venue, Crossroads is owned by Korey’s family. It is a barn that we have been going to for multiple family functions over the years. It is special place to us as many of his cousins have also been married there. We are so blessed to get married at Crossroads, it is a dream venue!

What is your (Kelsi) most anticipated moment at your wedding?
Walking down the aisle! Reading my vows and hearing Korey’s and then being pronounced Mr. and Mrs. Young!

If we bumped into you on a relaxed weekend, what would you be doing?
We would be at a river most likely in a secluded area, with our dog Duke. We would be enjoying some drinks, reading books, fishing, and maybe going for a hike or four wheeler ride.
