Love on a Winter’s Night | Rosehill Wedding Mukilteo
Winter is the perfect time for weddings, and this Rosehill Wedding in Mukilteo is no exception.
Kelsey and Dustin married at the beginning of December at Rosehill Community Center in Mukilteo. Their day was a whirlwind of friends and inside jokes (anyone have 8 minutes??), a hop or two down to the nearby brewery (also the location of their first date), mini pies, tacos, and dancing among the twinkle lights. This Rosehill wedding was more about the celebration of togetherness than having a wedding, and it was absolutely perfect for this pair. I’ve never met a less stressed out bride (or groom, for that matter!)
We’re so thankful to Jeremy of BlueBeatz Entertainment for sending this wedding our way (Kelsey is his fiance’s step-sister)! We had a ton of fun!
Now of course, we all want to hear the details of this Rosehill wedding, so from Kelsey herself:
We met through work. I worked for a catering company that leased a kitchen in his building. He stopped in each morning for coffee. We got to know each other, and over several months he began drinking more and more coffee. He finally asked me out and the rest is history.
Dustin made plans to go to Diamond Knot, where we shared our first date. We normally don’t plan to go there, so I thought something may be off. After dinner, we were walking to the car and he popped the question! There were a lot of tears, happy, happy tears!
Our venue is nearby the location of our first date, it has amazing views of the water, ferry and Whidbey Island.
Dustin and I made our guest book (Pallet Sign), and we are having wedding pies, which will be made by my mom, his mom, his aunt and sister (apple, chocolate pecan, berry and pumpkin).
I’m pretty relaxed about the whole thing, at the end of the day I get to marry my best friend while we are surrounded by all the people who love and support us.
In the summer we love to camp, enjoy hiking or fishing (he fishes, I hang out on the boat). We also love to explore on day trips, which usually ends up at a craft brewery somewhere.
Eggplant Purple, Mossy green and ivory/champagne
