Port Gamble Summer Wedding

This summer 2024 Port Gamble wedding was so much fun – filled with laughter and a packed dance floor, and gorgeous sunset.

We asked Hailey (and Corey!) some questions:

How did the two of you meet?
After my friend dragged me out of my apartment for the first time in a very long time, I met a quiet guy at a bar. Somehow we ended up at his house for an after party where we hit it off! After a few weeks of dodging a first date we finally got together and we’ve been inseparable ever since.

How did the proposal happen?
Corey surprised me by taking the dogs and I on a trip at the last minute. After lunch in Port Angeles we drove up to Hurricane Ridge. After a fun drive out to Obstruction Point, Corey and I walked to admire the view. With the dogs watching from the car and not another soul in sight, Corey got down on one knee and asked me to marry him!

Why did you choose Hood Canal Pavilion in Port Gamble as your venue?
We chose it for the beautiful views of the water and the fact that everything can happen all at one location. It doesn’t hurt that it’s only 15 minutes from home!

Are there any special parts of your wedding day that you’re looking forward to?
There will be a ring warming (unity ceremony) during the ceremony where our wedding bands will be passed through the wedding party and guests.

If we ran into you on a day off, what would you be doing?
Probably at Home Depot getting supplies for a house project!
