We have wanted to photograph at Roche Harbor for YEARS, so when this inquiry came in we jumped at the chance. And, we actually ended up in the San Juan Islands three times in 2 weeks for weddings this fall (although only once at Friday Harbor) – we definitely lucked out.
How did the two of you meet?
We met with Bumble, our first date was at Ba Bar in Seattle and we played a card game (Dutch Blitz), which we plan to feature at the wedding.
How did the proposal happen?
We got engaged at Bloedel Reserve on Bainbridge Island. It’s one of our favorite shared locations, it has felt very magical to both of us since we first visited together and especially since getting engaged there.
Why did you choose your Friday Harbor venue?
We hadn’t been to RH prior to visiting and booking the wedding. We are looking forward to hosting out of state friends and family in such an idyllic location. Some family and friends have never been to Washington state, so the ferry ride and views at the venue will be new for them.
