Our second wedding of Memorial Day weekend was up in the rural northwest of Montana, an incredible Twenty Odd Base Camp, Trout Creek Wedding.
Lauren and Juan’s family friends own this beautiful venue, and this was the first wedding they’ve ever held there. There are two cabins on site which they each used to get ready, and then they married in a meadow with the sun and rolling hills behind them. Their Trout Creek wedding day was filled with stories and memories and laughter, and it was obvious that this tight knit group of people were all family, in their own way.
One of our favorite parts of this Trout Creek wedding was the food. Lauren & Juan own Tamale Guy, which is an incredible food truck based in the Seattle area – and they catered their own wedding. They post about their upcoming locations on their Facebook page, so if you get a chance, you need to find them and eat all the food. I’m just saying (don’t take our word for it, read this review in The Stranger).
We love the laid back vibe that this Trout Creek wedding had from the moment we showed up until we left…. and our favorite part was the ride in the side-by-side up the private mountain for sunset photos. Seriously unreal. Scroll to the end to check it out (and a pic of the 4 of us about to head up!).
