Surprise Proposal Session in Snohomish
Y’all, this is my brother. This one is obviously super important to me, and my goodness, was I excited when he asked me to help him and photograph a surprise proposal to his longtime girlfriend. The first date we had planned rained out and finally, on a Friday in March, we made it happen. I absolutely love proposal sessions and this was no different.
We had told Christa that we were going to go do photos, and instead, my brother Josh got down on one knee and asked for her hand and her forever. I gotta be honest – I was crying, and super glad I had the camera in front of my face.
After she said Yes (of course!!), we strolled through Downtown Snohomish and did their engagement session right then and there. I’m honored to say that we’ll be photographing their wedding this July at Christa’s dad’s property. The beautiful colors and buildings of Historic Snohomish made a great backdrop, and it’s one of my favorite spots to work.
I’m a little partial to this beautiful gal too – she’s the goddess of awesome hair and has been my stylist for a few years now. These awesome purple locks are all because of her 🙂
Congratulations to two of my most favorite people on the planet, and I can’t wait to see you walk back down the aisle as a Mr & Mrs in July!
I do have to say one of my favorite moments from this day is when we realized that Josh had gotten so nervous and flustered before the proposal that he locked the keys in the car … which none of us realized until after we’d finished their session. They tried for quite awhile to break in themselves, but eventually resorted to a AAA call & rescue. That’s something none of us will ever forget!
