When we were planning this Seattle engagement at Washington Arboretum, we weren’t exactly sure what the weather was going to have in store for us.
Rain was heavily in the forecast, and even the night before we were talking through backup locations and umbrellas, or whether we should just reschedule. Thankfully, the day of the session we woke up to dry skies!
When we arrived at Washington Arboretum for Sara & Mike’s Seattle engagement session, we jumped right into and wandered through the park a bit – when we stumbled on to the newly downed tree, I just *had* to stop. These two are so naturally adorable together, they made my job incredibly easy. I’m sure it also helped that it was a bit chilly and snuggling up for warmth was a welcomed instruction.
They were true adventurers – trusting my visions through unique plant life and even climbing trees, they were willing to do anything and everything as long as they were together.
Since their proposal happened at a Drum Bass festival, we of course had to include the T-shirts from a festival. I always love when couples bring in something unique and personalized – it’s a great precursor to the experience of their wedding day.
I also really, REALLY love Sara’s engagement ring. It’s simple and unique – just like these two. I can’t wait to show you all their sweet, one of a kind love, so take a trip through the photos and don’t forget to leave some comment love below. I’m sure you’ll agree, it was the perfect Seattle engagement session.

Sara, my husband & I were good friends with your Mom & Dad in college. A LOOOONG time ago. We’ve never met you, but we still love them, & hence, wish you all the best.
