I’ve known this incredible bride since she was a Junior in Highschool. We met when she was a senior rep for the photography studio I worked at. Eventually, she became our girls’ favorite babysitter, and more like a big sister to them. I still can’t believe it’s been 6 years, and yet it seems like we’ve known her forever. It was an incredible honor to photograph their bridal session.
When she first met Ian, I was skeptical and protective. Who was this guy she was so smitten with? Time passed, and he left on his mission, and she waited. It was an amazing thing to see her so in love, so committed to him. And the way he looked at her, well, you could just tell. She was his whole world.
When Sabrina approached me and asked me to do their bridal session, I jumped at the chance. We met at the beautiful Cavalero Hill Park in Lake Stevens. This Snohomish County park has long grass, trees, and in the summer, that beautiful golden light in the evenings. Sabrina mentioned wanting a grassy field look, so I knew this would be the perfect spot for their bridal session.
Since we photographed this prior to their wedding, we staged their first look, and it was so sweet. Ian’s expression was of admiration, love and just generally thrilled that THIS gorgeous girl was going to be his WIFE.
