Oh, this wedding. This venue is stunning and will soon be opening in the Woodinville Valley. It’s views, it’s landscaping – just gorgeous. To say I’m excited for this Woodinville Farm wedding venue to open officially would be an understatement.
But I’ve put off blogging this one. This wedding happened back in August, but the whirlwind of life has happened since then and now, while these images bring me joy, they also carry a sadness with them. I’ve known the sister of the beautiful bride since she was little (I was her older sister’s cheerleading coach), and this family feels like a giant extension of my own. Not long after this incredible day, the bride’s father fell sick, and sadly has since passed. His loss in the family is immeasurable – much like both his infectious laugh and all-curing hugs. He was a giant of a man.
That makes these photos even more precious… and I am so thankful he was there to watch Rachael marry the love of her life.
This wedding was a labor of love for the family. The venue belongs to the groom’s parents, the floral (umm, she needs to start a business, amirite?!?), hair and planning was spearheaded by Rachael’s sister Cassie, who also played officiant. Food and drink were brought together by family and friends.
The weather on the day was perfect. Warm, but not overwhelmingly so. Everyone was in a great mood, there was laughter and dancing and children running through sprinklers when backs were turned. The horses nuzzled with each-other near the fence line, sensing and extending the feeling of the newlyweds. Good natured ooh-ing and ahhh-ing and of course some teasing when we photographed them in the upper barn loft in front of their friends at sunset.
It’s my honor to bring you back to this incredible day in August for this Woodinville Farm Wedding. Make sure you leave Rachael & John some comment love below.
