This Jardin del Sol Wedding in Snohomish was filled with so much laughter – probably the best MC we’ve had in a long time (she’s the sister-in-law of the groom). The families were sweet, hilarious and had a ton of inside jokes among themselves. It felt like were part of the family by the end of the night. They even braved the rain with smiles.
I asked Jenn and Graeme some questions about their story:
How did the two of you meet?
We met at Oxford University. I (Jenn) was studying abroad there, and Graeme was a student at Oxford. We became friends right away during orientation. We both liked cooking and going to museums together, and a romantic relationship blossomed soon after!
How did the proposal happen?
Graeme surprised me with a trip to Gold Bar, WA for the proposal. I got home after work on a Friday, and was surprised to find flowers and a card with directions to meet him for a weekend trip in Gold Bar. He had booked an adorable log cabin right by the river for the weekend, and he was waiting for me by the river all dressed up with the ring when I got there. We got to spends an amazing engagement weekend out in the mountains and also got to go to Lake Wenatchee and Leavenworth.
Why did you choose your Snohomish venue?
We did not have a prior connection to our venue, but we wanted an outdoor garden venue, and we loved the flowers, landscaping and overall atmosphere at Jardin del Sol.
If we ran into you on a relaxed weekend, what would you be doing?
Hanging out at home, making food and having friends over for dinner.
